Technical Marketing Manager
Job Description:
- Technical Marketing Manager’s responsibilities include technical sales support, analyze market/technology dynamics and trends, product promotion planning, product & solution proposal, and directing the development of market requirements for specific products.
- This position will be devoted to support sales team in identifying sales opportunity & provide solution proposals.
Job Functions:
- Understanding the US broadband Triple Play & utility communication markets - vendors, trends, technologies, standards, regulations and economics.
- Engage with customers to gather market and application needs to identify product & solution proposals.
- Define market opportunities, understand competitive positioning and define the winning solution scope.
- Support sales team by creating sales tools, product presentations and customer proposals as needed.
- Research and analysis of the company's markets, competition, and provide product matrix.
- Conducts research studies and provide reports to Product Development team with potential market areas and future market directions.
Requirements:
- BSEE or MSEE and 5+ years of relevant work experience in the telecom & network communications industry
- In-depth knowledge of broadband Triple Play technologies – xDSL, GPON, GEPON, WiFi, GigE, ATM, VoiP.
- Experience in marketing & has good technical knowledge in networking protocols, topologies, and field applications.
- Familiarity with physical layer hardware and network infrastructure in central office & substation environment.
- Exceptional presentation ability, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build solid business plans & customer proposals.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- 20 ~ 30% travel may be required
- Proficient in PowerPoint, WORD, Excel, Visio, SalesForce CRM.
